National Green Technology Expert Lynn Knudsen Talks House Pets

“Your sweet little loving Dog or Cat has a nasty bacterial effect on your indoor environment”

Don’t get me wrong, I love Mr. Pebbles (my cat), he is part of the family and we make sure he goes to the groomer a few times a month so he can get his bath and priming. We take great care of him and he takes care of us with lots of unconditional love.

I know we are not alone, Americans loves their pets, it is impossible to resist their soft fur and friendly faces. The numbers prove America is a pet country, 70% of U.S. households have either a dog or a cat in their home.

But the sad fact is they are just not friendly to our indoor environment…the odors, pet dander, bacteria, etc.  With this information in mind most doctors suggest some kind of room air cleansing system especially if you have children or grandchildren or you are a senior citizen.

You are used to your dog or cats pet order but I assure you your guests are not, many are allergic to pet dander and just the dander in the air will cause breathing problems, the pet odors, although you many not smell them permeate the room and the bacteria that follows pets can be a problem for everyone.  For some families this can be a serious issue.

Let’s talk about pet odors. There is wet fur, cat litter boxes, feces, urine, pet food and a variety of other things that can keep friends and neighbors away, cause illness, and reduce the enjoyment of our “fur children”.  Pet odors have been shown in surveys to actually reduce the market value of a home by as much as 30%.

Then there is pet dander, which is tiny pieces of skin shed by dogs, cats, and other animals with feathers or fur.  This is one of the most powerful and pervasive allergens known to man.  It is these “allergens” (things that trigger allergic reactions and breathing problems in ssusceptible individuals) that can bring about medical complications, including asthma.  They are so tiny that they are often undetectable to the naked eye and can end up inside the respiratory tract.

Also, there is the problem of the bacteria that comes from what your pets track in, deposit in the litter box, or, in the case of reptiles or birds, just slough off from their bodies. These can be very unhealthful, even dangerous to sensitive people and children.

All of the above, combined with other contaminants (pollen, cigarette smoke, dust mites, etc.) can, in fact, create conditions inside the home that are often more toxic (the EPA says 2-5 times) than those found outside the home.

So does this mean we need to keep our furry friends out of our homes to enjoy good health?   Of course not!   But we do need to take precautions!  There is a simple step you can take to control pet odors and protect your health.

My company recently did a review on a new product it is called AirRestore Air Naturalizer.   We tested this little 4½” tall device and found it can clean, freshen, and energize an area up to 800 square feet inside your home, office or business. We were really surprised when we found this unit cost only $99 and there are no filters to replace or anything you have to buy to keep it working.  All you have to do is follow the cleaning instructions,  just periodic cleaning with a cotton swab and you are up and running again in minutes.  All for under $100.

For under $200, you can clean the air in a normal 3 bedroom 2 bath home. We were so impressed with this little workhorse we decided to sell them on our Green Health Technologies Website.

These are the facts about the AirRestore:  It not only cleans, deodorizes, energizes, purifies and removes all the nasties from the air; it actually can kill germs and bacteria ON SURFACES, such as countertops, door knobs, etc. AND it does all this without filters or chemicals.  It requires no supplies, extra costs, and virtually NO MAINTENANCE. This is the perfect product when you want to protect your family and help reduce your medical bills.  I hate to quote this phrase but it is, “Exactly what the doctor ordered”.
